Hello and welcome to our Championship blog.
Millwall currently have no senior goalkeepers contracted beyond June.
Here's Neil Harris on the stopper situation:
Ideally we want two goalkeepers battling it out for the number-one jersey. You want that with your centre-forwards, wide players, centre-halves and with your goalkeepers.
If you can have two goalkeepers in where you don’t know who your number one is going to be because they’re both fine goalkeepers then you’re in a wonderful position.
We’re looking at bringing in two goalkeepers. We’re clear in what we want in both goalkeepers. We certainly want some experience in age and Championship games. We’ve looked and spoken to a lot of clubs and agents regarding players coming in.
We will continue to try to bring the right characters in and there’s a good level of goalkeepers available this summer. There are some fine young goalkeepers coming through at clubs that might be available on loan.
As much as we want to get one or two goalkeepers in as quickly as possible, we’ll take our time to make sure we get the right ones.
The Evening Standard are reporting that Manchester City are leading Chelsea in the race for Millwall kid Samuel Edozie.
Edozie is a 16-year-old winger who has played for Larry McAvoy and Chris Perry's under-18s.
The Lions sold Darko Gyabi, 14, to City last season for over £1million.
No, Millwall are not going to sign 37-year-old goalkeeper Volkan Demirel from Turkish top-flight side Fenerbahce.
The reports surfaced in a Turkish website called Fotospor. Inevitably it was picked up by several websites here - but it's not true.
Though we would have enjoyed Lions fans' reactions to that news...
