Hello and welcome to The Den for Millwall's crucial clash with Wigan.
Here's Lions boss Neil Harris on tonight's opponents:
In the modern day, the kids growing up will think of Wigan as quite a big club. Maybe not so much in terms of a fanbase, but in recent history, in the last 20 years they’ve been a Premier League and Championship club for the majority of that.
Paul Cook has done a great job getting them up last year and they’re in a very healthy and wealthy position. It’s no surprise to me they’ve started so well this season. They’ve had stability over a period of time and they play some good football.
It’s a tough game but it’s great to be back at The Den where we feel we’ve been excellent this year. Results could look a lot healthier if games had finished after 89 minutes.
We’ve got two big games, it’s a huge four days for us. Yes there’s a little bit of disappointment still and frustration, certainly, but the players know how well they played at the weekend. They know how we dominated Forest and were much better than Aston Villa. We were miles better than Reading and we got four points from three games, but it should have been nine.
We have to make sure that we keep the ball out at one end, and score more goals at the other end.Staff
