  1. Hello and welcome to our live coverage from Colchester United's Colchester Community Stadium.

Millwall's last visit there? A brutal 0-0 draw there on April 2, 2016, during Neil Harris' first full season in charge.

  2. It's currently 26 degrees in Colchester, three degrees cooler than London which is some help.

But it'll be a sticky, sweaty evening for the players, with Lions boss Neil Harris set to give 15 or 16 squad members a run-out.

  3. #Millwall starting XI: Amos McLaughlin M. Wallace, Webster, Meredith, Ferguson, Saville, Tunnicliffe, O’Brien, Fred, Morison.
  4. And here are Millwall's subs: Martin, Hutchinson, Cooper, Williams, Wallace, Thompson, Gregory, Romeo, Elliott, Brown.

  5. Looks like it will be Fred up front alongside Moro.

We feel this could be a big season for Fred, possibly make or break at Millwall. He needs to show he can not only play more regularly and reliably, but be a proper goal threat.

  8. We are underway at the JobServe Community Stadium. #Millwall
  9. Looks like it's Fred upfront with Morison, O'Brien on the left, Ferguson on the right. #Millwall
  10. Morison already in the referees ear as he concedes a foul for a push. Quiet start here, not much in the way of goalmouth action. #Millwall
  11. Fergie comes close to giving #Millwall the lead, but Barnes tips his curling free-kick behind.
  12. #Millwall are starting to find their rhythm. Fred is finding space in behind and is looking very sharp.
  13. Wallace knocks a ball straight out of play and Harris turns around and says ‘f**k me’. #Millwall
  14. Nearly 1-1. O'Brien forces Barnes into a fine save. His strike was heading for the top corner. #Millwall
  15. From the corner, Morison heads it back across goal, but Fred fails to convert from no more than a few yards. #Millwall

  17. Fred has moved to the right, Fergie to the left and O'Brien has joined Morison upfront. #Millwall
  18. HT. Colchester 2-0 #Millwall. Apart from a spell after the first goal, Millwall have been extremely poor. Given the ball away far too cheaply and look sloppy defensively. Besides the miss, Fred has been the only positive.
  19. Harris screams at his players when the whistle goes for half-time. ‘Hurry up, get the fuck in, now.’ Not happy. #Millwall
  20. No changes for #Millwall at the break and we are back underway.

  23. GOAL! An absolute beauty from Jed Wallace. First moment of quality from #Millwall all evening.
  24. FT. Colchester 2-1 #Millwall. Awful performance, but it’s better to get them out the way now, I suppose. One last rehearsal on Saturday before the main event in ten days time against Boro.
  25. Harris failed to comment on Tom Bradshaw, but did say that #Millwall are hoping to have an attacking player signed by Saturday.
  26. Few things from tonight. I think Harris all but put to bed the Tom Bradshaw saga. That one attacking player in is much needed. I know it’s only pre-season, but something is missing and #Millwall really require that Ben Marshall spark from last year.
  27. Harris also said that the new signing will give the club a lift. Would that possibly suggest that he and the players are becoming frustrated at the lack of action in the transfer window? #Millwall
