Current VP Education Hannah Niblock is re running uncontested for her position with current VP Community Chloe Patterson. Patterson hopes to beat Ellen Haveron to becoming next year's VP Welfare. The pair are running together under 'We Deliver'.'
VP Equality & Diversity hopeful Oisin Hassan has made a heartfelt video leading with the topic of equal marriage with Macklemore's 'Same Love' as background music.
The Hood once described candidate for VP Community Connor Malone as "a joker from RAG" in his bid to be Union speaker. Malone's light hearted video lives up to this description, which stars current President Cap'n Ciaran Gallagher.

1,111 votes have been cast by 5 pm today. By this stage last year 1530 votes had been cast. It has generally been a quiet day on campus. Although more candidates have ran this year, are we seeing a decline in interest from the student body?

Statement released from Dominic Doherty, Deputy Director of SU, regarding constitutional amendments on 'good academic standing' for running candidates.
Proposed amendments will be discussed on the Council Statutory Meeting of 19 March 2015, and will be as follows;
(i) To remove the Constitutional requirement to be in ‘good academic standing’ at the time of standing for officer election and throughout the term of elected student office – Council is being asked to ratify this proposal again in the light of legal advice arising from the procedural complaint that was issued at the February 2015 meeting.
(ii) To change the date by which nominations for the student officer elections must be submitted, from the eighth day before polling to the twelfth day prior to the elections, in order to provide sufficient time to produce the increased numbers of posters, manifestos, tee shirts and placards that each candidate is entitled to.

2062 votes cast by 4 pm today. 2649 votes were cast by this time last year. Due to a post in the English Society Facebook page by a course rep a hour ago we have learnt that only 61 out of 704 students from the school of English have voted in the elections.
Hi everyone! We are on the third and final day of #LeadQUBSU. Voting turnout by 12 pm today is on 2805. At this stage last year 3497 votes had been cast.
A complaint has been lodged against VP Equality & Diversity candidate Dervla McGaughey in regards to their campaign video, which the Returning Officer Keelin McGrogan has requested be removed. The Gown has heard that an individual appeared unawares in the video & did not feel comfortable being in it.

ELECTIONS OVER! 3,596 votes cast by close of polls at 5 pm. According to official SU data not since 2008 has turnout failed to reach over 4000. Results will be announced tonight in the Speakeasy from 8 pm.
