We are just five minutes away from kick-off now!
MUFC Starting XI: Lindegaard, Rafael, Jones, Ferdinand, Evra, Zaha, Cleverley, Carrick, Giggs, Lingard, Welbeck.
MUFC Subs: De Gea, Anderson, Fabio, van Persie, Keane, Januzaj.
The teams are on the way out, led by United captain Patrice Evra. Its an 80,000 sellout tonight so the stadium should be rocking!
Wilfried Zaha makes his full United debut tonight, he plays out on the right wing.
KICK-OFF: United get the game underway. Lets 'ave it Reds!
With his first touch of the ball Wilfried Zaha skips past two players with ease. Great to see!
United are trying to press on early. They win a corner which Ryan Giggs will take.
CHANCE: Danny Welbeck forces a decent save out of the keeper after some great linkup play between himself and Jesse Lingard.
CHANCE: Giggs swings in a corner which is met by the head of Patrice Evra, he should've scored!
Lingard wins possession well in the opposition's final third but Tom Cleverley gives the ball away cheaply.
GOAL: Jesse Lingard scores after an excellent dummy from Danny Welbeck. 11 Minutes gone.
CHANCE: A-League All-Stars midfielder Thomas Broich drives from around 20 yards out but the ball flies over.
Zaha's quick feet draws a foul from Broich. United have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
We look very dangerous from corners, Patrice Evra gets another chance but misjudges the header.
CHANCE: Evra again from a corner, unfortunately the ball hits his shoulder and sales over the bar.
Lindegaard finally gets a touch of the ball after 20 minutes. That shows how one-sided this game has been so far.
Zaha skins his man again. This time he fires the ball into the box but nobody was on the end of it.
United are pressing high up the field here. I wonder if its part of Moyes' new style.
CHANCE: Lindegaard forced into a decent save after a nice move by the A-League All-Stars. Still 1-0 with 27 minutes gone.
The A-League side are coming into the game more and more now. Another goal would help settle us down.
Zaha fires another great ball across the box that comes to nothing. 12 minutes to go till half time.
GOAL: Another beautiful goal from United, Danny Welbeck finishing it off after some great work from Giggs and Lingard. 2-0 United.
Ex-Red Liam Miller is doing well in the midfield. He keeps winning the ball back for his side.
CHANCE: Danny Welbeck rounds the keeper but an A-League defender gets back to block his shot.
A great block from Rafael creates a chance of a counter attack for United. Zaha goes one-on-one but is unable to beat his man. Unlucky.
Zaha is at the heart of everything here. A better ball would've give Lingard a tap-in but he can't find his United teammate.
CHANCE: Danny Welbeck has another chance and probably should've scored. The goalkeeper gets lucky and gets enough on it to see it wide.
One minute added time at the end of the first half.
HALF TIME: United 2-0 A-League All-Stars
What a great half of football. Jesse Lingard the standout for me, he took his goal excellently and he's always looking to make things happen.
Wilfried Zaha has looked sharp too. He has that natural flair like Ronaldo had when he first joined the club. Still a rough diamond though.
Welbeck limped off at the end of the half. Hope its nothing serious as he looks good.
I hope you'll join us for the second half in 15 minutes time. We'll bring you any changes that have been made as soon as we get them.
SUB: Michael Keane comes on in place of Rio Ferdinand.
The second half is underway. Hopefully the lads can push on and score a few goals here.
CHANCE: A Poor pass from Michael Keane lets the A-League all-stars in. Fortunately for United they miss the target.
CHANCE: Zaha has moved over to the left and skins his man again. He fires in a good ball that Danny Welbeck latches onto, but the defender gets back and gets in a good tackle.
Zaha reminds me of a young Ronaldo. He has the pace and skill but is nowhere near the finished product.
GOAL: The A-League All-Stars score through Berisha. Poor marking from Michael Keane gives them a way back into the game.
Poor keeping from Lindegaard for that goal. He let it trickle past his near post.
FOUL: Danny Welbeck is taken out by Bogar. The lad is lucky to escape a booking.
GOAL: Jesse Lingard again. What a strike from the young man, he smashes the ball into the top corner and is now on a hat-trick.
Lingard is loving it out there. Right now he, Januzaj and Zaha are giving Moyes a real problem ahead of the new season.
HOWLER: Zaha skins his man again and is brought down. However the ref has a shocker and misses the most blatant penalty ever.
The crowd go wild as Robin van Persie warms up.
SUB: Robin van Persie ON. Ryan Giggs OFF
Robin van Persie comes on for his first minutes under Moyes.
OUCH: Patrice Evra looks to have hurt his knee after a collision with an A-League Player.
Attendance tonight is 83,127. It just shows how big football and United is in Australia.
25 Minutes to go and united still well on top. Its been an entertaining game over in Australia.
Some more good work from Danny Welbeck, but sadly he can't finish.
GOAL: Danny Welbeck has a brace. Robin van Persie curls a wonderful ball in and Danny Welbeck heads home.
SUBS: Januzaj, Anderson on. Carrick Welbeck off.
Albeit the opposition haven't looked at their best. United have looked absolutely superb.
CHANCE: Rafael sends Zaha through, alebit for a good tackle the new boy would've scored.
SUB: Evra off, Fabio on.
Robin van Persie has been given the captains armband as Evra goes off.
15 minutes to go now. Januzaj has looked good since his arrival. He sprayed a superb 40-yard ball out wide earlier on. Now spins away from his man.
There is a Mexican wave now going round the stadium in Australia. 10 minutes to go.
Just five minutes left now. Januzaj is working hard in midfield, he looks good.
GOAL: Robin van Persie adds a fifth. He needed two bites at the cherry but a neat finish gives United a 5-1 lead.
CHANCE: Zaha with another good chance. He linked up beautifully with RvP but dragged his shot wide.
There will be three minutes added time.
CHANCE: Now Januzaj hits the post after some great work from Zaha again.
Robin van Persie wins the man of the Match award as voted for by the fans in the stadium.
Man of the Match: My award goes to Jesse Lingard. He scored two great goals and has covered every blade of grass on the pitch. He has been an absolute joy to watch.
FULL-TIME: United 5-1 A-League All-Stars.
Danny Welbeck scored twice as did Jesse Lingard. Robin van Persie added the fifth.
I was particularly impressed by Jesse Lingard and Wilfried Zaha. They looked hungry for the ball and utilised it very well. Great prospects.
Thanks for joining us here. We'll be running another liveblog on Tuesday as United take on the Yokahama F-Marions. We hope you'll join us again.
